Ii. Usage Method:
1) Align the refraction prism with the light direction and adjust the vision ring of the eyepiece until the marking line is clear.
2) Adjust the reference: Before measurement, first ensure that the standard solution (pure water), the instrument and the liquid to be tested are at the same temperature. Lift the cover plate, then take 1 to 2 drops of the standard solution and place them on the refractive prism. Gently press the cover plate with your hand to draw a boundary line between light and dark. Rotate the calibration bolt to align the light-dark boundary line in the eyepiece field of view with the reference line (0%).
Note: This optical instrument has been calibrated at the factory and can be used directly.
3) Lift the cover plate, wipe the surface of the prism clean with a soft flannel cloth, take 1 to 2 drops of the solution to be tested and drop them onto the refractive prism, then cover the cover plate and press gently. Read the relative scale of the light and dark boundary line, which is the concentration value and density value of the liquid to be tested.
After the measurement is completed, directly wipe off the adhering substances on the surface of the prism and the cover plate with a damp flannel cloth. After it dries, store it properly.
Correction
The zero point of the instrument needs to be calibrated before measurement. Take a few drops of distilled water and place them on the detection prism. Turn the zero position adjustment screw to adjust the dividing line to the 0% position on the scale. Then wipe the detection prism clean and proceed with the detection. For some models of instruments, standard solutions need to be prepared during calibration instead of distilled water.
Precautions
This instrument is a precision optical device. When using and maintaining it, the following points should be noted
1. During use, one must be meticulous and cautious, strictly follow the instructions, do not loosen any connection parts of the instrument at will, avoid dropping or colliding with it, and strictly prevent any violent vibration.
After use, it is strictly forbidden to directly wash it in water. Instead, wipe it with a clean soft cloth. For optical surfaces, do not scratch or scratch them.
3. The instrument should be stored in a dry place free from corrosive gases.
