Introduction to Liquid Silica Gel
Liquid silicone rubber is in contrast to solid high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. It is a liquid rubber with good fluidity, fast vulcanization, greater safety and environmental friendliness, and can fully meet food-grade requirements. According to the positions of the functional groups (i.e., crosslinking points) contained in the molecular structure, liquid rubbers with functional groups are often classified into two major categories: one type, where the functional groups are located at both ends of the molecular structure, is called remote claw type liquid rubber; Another type is that the active functional groups are randomly distributed in the main chain, that is, those with functional groups within the molecular structure, which are called non-teleconclonic liquid rubber. Of course, there are also those that have both intermediate functional groups and terminal base functional groups.
At present, the focus is on the research of remote claw-type liquid rubber. For liquid rubber, chain growth agents or crosslinking agents with appropriate functional groups should be selected based on the active functional groups they contain.
Purpose
Liquid silicone rubber can be used in trademarks, products, pacifiers, medical supplies, coating, impregnation and injection, etc. Silicone products such as molding molds for crystal glue, polyurethane, epoxy resin, injection molding processes, and cake molds are widely used in the electronics industry as moisture-proof, transportation, and insulation coating and potting materials for electronic components, providing dust-proof, moisture-proof, shock-proof, and insulation protection for electronic components and assemblies. If transparent gel is used to potting electronic components, it not only provides shock and water protection but also allows the components to be seen and faults to be detected with probes for replacement. Damaged silicone gel can be potting and repaired again. It can also be used to manufacture molding molds for products made of materials such as gypsum, wax, epoxy resin, polyester resin, polyurethane resin and low-melting-point alloys. It is applied to high-frequency embossing of artificial leather, upper and sole modeling of shoes, manufacturing of arts and crafts, ceramics, toy industry, furniture, replication of household appliances and electronic components, as well as molding of gypsum and cement materials, molding of wax products, manufacturing of mannestles, and mold making of materials, etc.

Liquid silicone rubber features excellent transparency, tear resistance, resilience, anti-yellowing, thermal stability, water resistance, good air permeability, heat aging resistance and weather resistance. Meanwhile, it has moderate viscosity, is easy to operate, and the products have high transparency, allowing for the observation of whether there are defects such as bubbles in the casting material inside the mold. The linear shrinkage rate is ≤0.1%, and the dimensions of the replicated products are precise.
