White dot blue pattern stone is a kind of blue rose rock vein in the alkaline complex rock (phosphorescent rock) of dolomitic marble in the southwest of China. Its output is scarce and it is a very precious jade. Because its jade has blue cloud-like stripes, it is called "blue pattern stone".

It is mainly composed of calcium nepheline (40% to 60%), which is a sodium and calcium-containing carbonate-aluminosilicate (a rare mineral), followed by sodium carbonate (10% to 20%), nepheline (10% to 15%), Muscovite and pyrite, etc. The rocks are light blue, ink blue and blue-grayish white, with uneven color distribution, often featuring color streaks and cloud-like color spots.

It has a dense crystalline structure and a massive structure. Hardness: 5 to 6. Oily luster. It is mainly used for manufacturing high-end jade articles, while those of superior quality and smaller size are used for making jewelry. In Brazil, there is also a kind of mineral called "blue-patterned stone" produced. Some varieties are similar in appearance to the blue-patterned stone jade produced in our country. Most of the blue-patterned stone products on the market now are processed from such stones. The main component of Brazilian blue jasper is sodalite, which differs from that of blue jasper in China in terms of composition.
