The construction process of artificial turf
Preparation before bonding
I. Clean the bottom of the lawn, non-woven fabric, seam fabric, etc. that need to be bonded thoroughly and ensure that the surface is dry and free of moisture.
Ii. The construction environment temperature should be between 0 and 40℃. It is not advisable to carry out construction in rainy or humid weather, otherwise it may lead to poor bonding.
Specific construction steps;
(1). Gluing
It is required to apply the glue evenly on the bottom of the lawn with a brush. Do not repeatedly apply the glue, otherwise it will cause bubbling and even dropping. Strictly control the thickness of the glue and pay attention to the appropriate application speed. Apply it respectively to the two bonding surfaces to be bonded.
(2). Bonding:
The drying time should be reasonably controlled according to the temperature, humidity and other conditions at that time. Generally, it is advisable to leave the glue for 10 to 15 minutes after application. The glue should be about 80% to 90% dry and not sticky when touched by hand. When bonding, it is required to align and bond firmly in one go. Never move the bonded object back after bonding.
(3). Pressurization:
After bonding, remove any debris from the surface. Use a special rubber mallet to hammer it firmly from the bonding area to both sides to ensure that the surface is fully bonded, dense and more secure.
(4). Curing
Its curing time is generally three days, and the final strength test is usually ten days. Therefore, during the curing period, it is necessary to pay close attention to its maintenance, avoid excessive exposure to sunlight, water immersion and movement, so as to achieve the best bonding state.
(5). After bonding, clean the debris cut from the site before filling it with quartz sand and rubber particles.
Quartz sand paving process
(1). Sand filling process
Fix the grass seedlings with special quartz sand to prevent them from falling over. Fill the sand to within 10mm of the remaining height of the grass seedlings. Spread rubber particles on the surface of the grass seedlings evenly. Do not pour sand particles with sharp edges between the grass seedlings to prevent athletes from being injured.
(2). When spreading, manually spread in a straight line.
(3). Quartz sand and rubber particles can only be laid when the artificial turf materials have been truly installed.
(4). The laying of quartz sand must be carried out based on the concept of the integral method.
(5). When laying quartz sand, it is necessary to check whether it is flat or reaches a certain amount. Where the amount is insufficient, it should be replenished as appropriate.
Any debris found during laying must be removed immediately to ensure a smooth surface.
After the quartz sand is laid, a hard-bristled brush should be used to brush back and forth to ensure that the quartz sand falls thoroughly and densely.
