The Meika 90-type hot stamping machine is specially designed for hot stamping PVC cards. It is used for hot stamping gold and silver on text, borders and serial numbers on PVC cards such as VIP cards, ID cards and bank cards.

Operating Instructions

I. Installation

1. 1. Install the handle: Remove the handle insertion hole from the attachment and tighten the screws beside the handle to fix it.
2. 2. Adjust the height of the machine body: Loosen the height lock screw and adjust the height adjustment screw. Usually, it is appropriate to adjust it to a position where the distance between the character surface and the hot stamping surface is about 30MM. Check whether the heat transfer plate and the heating plate are closely attached; otherwise, it will affect the hot stamping effect.

 

Second, adjust the hot stamping position

1. Pull out the printing plate, stick a business card paper larger in size than the electronic plate with adhesive tape on the hot stamping position of the printing plate, and use the center of the heat transfer plate for hot stamping.
2. 2. Turn on the power. The red power indicator light will light up. Rotate the temperature adjustment knob and set the temperature to 100℃. The temperature control indicator light will light up yellow. After more than ten minutes, it will turn green, indicating that the heat transfer plate has reached the required temperature. Because it is automatically constant-temperature controlled, during the hot stamping process, the signal light will frequently change color, but this does not affect the hot stamping effect.

Iii. Test the heat

1. 1. The type of hot stamping paper must be selected to match the printed matter.
2. 2. Select the temperature. Choose the required temperature based on different materials and printed materials. The following brief table is for reference.

1. 3. Different hot stamping papers require different temperatures. If the temperature is too high, the coloring of the line edges will exceed the boundaries and become blurred. If the temperature is insufficient, the coloring will be uneven. Please make adjustments according to the printing effect.
2. 4. Pressure and hot stamping time: If the printed pattern is too deep, it indicates excessive pressure; if the printed pattern is too shallow or incomplete, it indicates insufficient pressure. If the embossing time is too long, the hot stamping coloring will cross the boundary and become blurred. If the embossing time is too short, the coloring will be uneven. If the surface of the printed matter is smooth, a smaller pressure and a shorter hot stamping time are required. If the surface is rough, a larger pressure and a longer hot stamping time are needed.
3. 5. If the test print shows uneven coloring, please refer to Figure 2 for adjustment. First, loosen the two middle fastening screws, then adjust the four balance screws. Adjust the balance screws in the direction where the print is too shallow or the color is not printed in a clockwise direction, and the balance screws in the direction where the print is too deep or the color is not printed in a counterclockwise direction. Make multiple adjustments to achieve the best effect. If there are still small areas that cannot be colored after adjusting the large area of the printed surface, please stick transparent adhesive tape on the areas that cannot be colored. The purpose is to raise this position for coloring.
4. 6. Adjust the height limit nut to prevent the surface of the plate and the heat transfer plate from colliding with the printed surface and causing mutual damage when pulling the handle too hard.

Four. Install the gilding paper

1. 1. Load the gilding paper into the gilding paper rack: Take out the gilding paper rack, loosen the plastic round cover, put in the gilding paper roll, reinstall the plastic round cover, and then put the gilding paper rack back into the machine.
2. 2. Pulling the paper onto the rack: Install it in the direction indicated by the arrow in Figure 1. Pull the gilding paper clockwise. First, pass it around the outside of the gilding rear positioning rod, then cross it over the outside of the front positioning rod. Next, pass it clockwise between the rubber paper roll shaft and the paper pressing shaft. Then, roll the gilding paper onto the paper collection shaft and use the spring plate to hold it in place. Turn the outer knob of the rubber shaft clockwise to straighten the gilding paper.

Note: The colored side of the hot stamping paper must face upwards.
