1. Definition
As an accessory of water purifiers, the water purifier pressure tank is mainly used in closed water circulation systems to balance water volume and pressure, which can prevent the safety valve from opening frequently and the automatic water replenishment valve from replenishing water frequently. If users wish to have access to pure water at any time, they need to store the water in a pressure tank first for future use.
2. Reasons for existence
Because the water production of household reverse osmosis membrane elements (RO membranes) is relatively slow, the water should be prepared in advance and stored in buckets. This not only ensures a large amount of water demand but also avoids frequent operation of the water pump in the water purifier, effectively extending the service life of the water machine.
3. Composition
The pressure tank of a water purifier is generally composed of main components such as the tank body, rubber diaphragm or capsule, and water inlet and outlet ports.
4. Working Principle
When we need water, after turning on the faucet, the pure water in the bucket is squeezed out by the compressed air inside the bucket, and at the same time, the pressure inside the bucket drops. At this point, the water purifier receives the pressure signal and starts the water pump to produce water into the bucket. At the same time, the pressure inside the bucket rises. It is controlled by a high-pressure switch. When the water is full, the pump automatically turns off and stops producing water. After the water is used up, the pump automatically starts to produce water again.
The performance of the pressure tank: There are two key performance requirements for the pressure tank of a water purifier. The first is the pressure-bearing capacity, that is, it can withstand a relatively high working pressure without bursting or leaking. The second is the health of water storage, that is, the water in the bucket must not be contaminated a second time. The internal water storage material should be harmless and not leak air.
